Driver Training
How much does driver training cost?
Segment 1 costs $450 and Segment 2 costs $75.
Where are classes held?
Driver training classes are held virtually on Zoom, but all testing components of the course take place in-person at the Cheboygan High School.
Where does on-road driving instruction take place?
All on-road driving instruction begins and ends in Cheboygan. We meet at the Cheboygan High School student parking lot.

How do I register for a driver training course?

What kind of vehicles do students drive for on-the-road instruction?
We have a small sedan and two small SUVs in our fleet.
Driver Testing
How much does a road test cost?
Road tests are $75.
How long does it take to complete a road test?
Road tests last for about an hour.
Do I need to bring a parent/guardian to my road test?
If you are a minor, yes. You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the test.
Do I need my own vehicle to take a road test?
Yes. You must arrive to the road test with a vehicle that is insured and meets the legal safety requirements for driving.
Where do road tests take place?
We do road tests in three counties: Cheboygan, Chippewa, and Mackinac. Directions for the designated meeting locations are listed on our Driver Testing Locations page.
